A Brief Introduction to the Scenic Area of Guilin Tourism University

桂林旅苑景区位于桂林旅游学院雁山校区内，占地1885亩，紧靠桂林环城高速公路出入口，桂林-阳朔旅游黄金大道从景区门口通过，距市中心17公里。

景区以“景观式校园”为发展理念，以研学旅游为主题，展现旅游教育和桂林旅游文化特色，为国内外旅游者服务。主要旅游区域占地900多亩，景区环境优美，景色宜人，相思江穿园而过。景区旅游资源丰富，类别多元，品位较高，现代校园风格与旅游景观特色结合，文化教育和园林休闲融合一体。

主要对外服务的景点和项目有兴华门、饮食文化体验中心、国际酒店管理学院（桂洛学院）、高尔夫教学和体验中心、户外拓展训练营地、棒垒球训练中心、图文信息中心、产教融合综合实训中心、七玄乐府、陶瓷文化体验馆、樱花园、相思小镇商业街等。

The scenic area of Guilin Tourism University (GTU) is right within the campus of GTU, covering an area of 1885 mu (125 hectares), around 17 kilometers away from downtown, just standing by the Guilin-Yangshuo highway (a highway busy with tourist traffic all year round) and with convenient access to Guilin beltway.

The development concept of this scenic area is to build it into a “landscaped campus”, to focus on tourism research and teaching, to promote the tourism education, to display the characteristics of Guilin’s culture, and to provide agreeable service to tourists both from home and abroad. The main scenic area, being bestowed breathtaking landscape, occupies 60 hectares with Xiangsi River flowing through the campus. Richness in tourism resources, various types of tourism experience and high quality in service offering make GTU a perfect combination of tourism education and leisure enjoyment.

Visiting places open to the public include Xing Hua Gate, Cuisine Culture Experience Center, International Hospitality Management School (a cooperative program with Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne), Golf Course, Outward Bound Training Base, Baseball and Softball Training Center, Library, Industry-education Integration Center, Qi Xuan Yue Fu, Pottery Art Museum, Cherry Blossom  Garden and Xiangsi Plaza etc.
